Linda Carolyn Craddock Young, 83, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born on April 20, 1942, in Greenville, Tennessee, Linda spent most of her life in Winter Park, Florida, where she built a legacy of faith, knowledge, and love.
After graduating from high school, she pursued her calling as an educator at Longwood College, preparing for a career that would shape the lives of countless children. She dedicated much of her professional life to teaching at Lakemont Elementary School in Winter Park, where her kindness, patience, and passion for learning left a lasting impact on her students and colleagues alike.
Linda touched many lives with her wisdom, perseverance, and unwavering faith in God. A lifelong learner and devoted teacher, she had a deep love of knowledge and truth, which she shared generously with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brian Young, and her sister, Phyllis Law. She is survived by her son, Edward Cobb Outlaw III (Annie Outlaw); her grandchildren, Evan Outlaw and Elizabeth Wandell (Micah Wandell) and extended family and friends who will carry forward the lessons and love she instilled in them.
Linda will be laid to rest beside her parents at Chatham Burial Park in Chatham, Virginia. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Georgia Hospice, 1111 Hillcrest Pkwy, Dublin, GA 31021.
Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched and the generations she inspired.
