Lois Haywood Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Haywood Davis, age 96, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Tim Tharp and Rev. Walter Mingledorff will officiate. Mrs. Davis was born December 28, 1918 in Johnson County; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late R.A. & Mary Smith Haywood, her husband, Carl Davis, brothers, Charlie Haywood, Daniel Haywood and Herbert Haywood and three sisters, Bessie Thompson, Maude Knight and Lilly Clements. She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene and was retired from Buckeye Industries. Mrs. Davis passed away Friday, November 6, 2015. She is survived by two sisters, Irene Sapp of West Monroe, Louisiana and Alma Woods of Dublin and a host of nieces and nephews, who she loved very much. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clarke Attaway, Autry Brantley, Dale Brantley, Scott Brantley, Jeremy Garrett and Jason Martin. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
