Funeral services for Lois Velma Poole, age 93, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2024, in the Richard N. Stanley Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate.
Mrs. Poole was born on November 8, 1930, in Scott, Georgia to the late Marvin and Ruby Foskey Clements. She was a retired pants factory worker and was a longtime member of the Johnson County Senior Center, where she loved to quilt. She was a member of the Wrightsville Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earnest Lindsey, her second husband, Thomas Poole and her daughter, Kathie Foskey. Mrs. Poole passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky Lindsey of Wrightsville; brothers, Gerald Clements, Mahon (Mary Frances) Clements, and Wadell Clements (Betty) of Wrightsville; sister, Elizabeth Tyson of Dublin; son-in-law, Jack Foskey of Wrightsville; two grandchildren, Jay Foskey (Robyn) of Kite and Katrina Bell (Aaron) of Gray; three great grandchildren, Jackson Bell, Kohen Bell, and Nikki Wiggins (Brandon) and three great-great grandchildren, Coleman Wiggins, Tate Wiggins, and Abel Wiggins.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Jay Foskey, Terry Tyson, Stanley Clements, Stevie Clements, Michael Clements, and Jim Mussleewhite.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
