Mr. Lonnie Lee King, born Douglas Woodrow Clontz, age 71 of East Dublin, GA passed away July 1, 2016 surrounded by family and friends at Serenity Place Hospice in Dublin, GA.
He was a loving father, son and husband. He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Woodrow Clontz, and mother, Edna Gertrude Crowder and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Heather King of East Dublin, GA, a brother Bill Clontz of Vidalia, GA, sister Telitha Gilbert of Fox Lake, IL, sister Nancy Cochran of Griffin, GA, his sons Douglas Clontz of Apollo, FL, Shadley Clontz of Newton, IL, David Clontz of Mt. Vernon, IL, Brandon King of Evans, GA; two daughters, Lisa Clontz-Kiefer of Champaign, IL, Christy N. Coyle of Milner, GA, seven grandchildren, three great-granddaughters and five god children.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Georgia Sheriff's Ranch Youth Homes, Serenity Place Hospice of Dublin, GA, or Laurens County Humane Society.
Visitation will be at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory in Dublin, GA from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.. on Sunday July 3, 2016 , and his service will be held Monday July 4, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel. The Reverend Wayne Durden will officiate.
