Lorena Starley

Funeral services for Lorena Starley, age 75 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 16, 2015 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ron Starley and Rev. Steve Hardeman will officiate. Mrs. Starley was born on August 25, 1939 in Tabor City, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Willard and Thelma Blackburn Spivey. She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard E. Starley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and pastoral assistant. She was a member of Church of God in Cleveland, TN. Mrs. Starley passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Serenity Place. Mrs. Starley is survived by her husband, Rev. Ron Starley, 5 children, Greg Cox, of Newnan, Gary Starley of Newnan, Nick Starley of East Dublin, Ronnie Robert Starley, II of Macon, and Donna Snyder of Possum Hollow, 2 brothers, Mike Spivey of Dublin and Larry Spivey of East Dublin, a sister, Betty Spivey Shrader of East Dublin, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Ron Starley at 1204 Mount Olive Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021 and from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Benny Strom, Tony Penney, Clint Spivey, Paul Presley, Evan Stokes and Bobbie Starley. Honorary escorts will include Mike Perkins, Bill Lee, Leonard Brett, Robert Agress, Bonnie Clower and Roy Chambers. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
