Funeral services for Louie W. Brown, age 83 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Olivet Baptist Church, with interment to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kyle Giddens and Rev. Larry Rowland will officiate. Mr. Brown was born on September 10, 1932 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Henry and Mattie Couey Brown. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Brown. He served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army. He was the owner and operator of Dublin Marine for 43 years. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church where he was also a member of the Boundary Breakers Sunday School Class. Mr. Brown passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Brown is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rosa Brown of Dublin, a son, David (Angela) Brown of Dublin, 3 daughters, Judy (Larry) Rowland of Dublin, Pamela (Mike) Nemastil of Lexington, KY, Connie (Buddy) Osburn of Dublin, a brother, Ray (Anne) Brown of Dublin, a sister, Joyce (John) Chappell of Dudley, 13 grandchildren, Mandy (Shannon) Sheheen, Lindsey (Jonathan) Wright, Marcie (Tim) Bowe, Cale Brown, Ryan (Chassie) Brinson, Kari (Dillan) Platt, Matthew O'Neal, Kevin Rowland, Allie Brown, Michael Osburn, Stephen Osburn, Brian (Sarah) Osburn, and Ben Osburn, 6 great grandchildren, and special friends, Luther and Betty Hooks, Michael and Beth Hooks, Donna and Roy Burch, and Belinda and Sid Harrison. Pallbearers will be Cale Brown, Ryan Brinson, Kevin Rowland, Jonathan Wright, Tim Bowe, and Dillan Platt. Honorary Escort will be Boundary Breakers Sunday School Class, Dublin Marine Employee's: Paul Elerson, Jamey Evans, Hank Hartley, Chris Kersey, Brent Davis, and David Putkowski. The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. Brown at 428 Turkey Creek Circle, Dublin, GA 31021, and from 12:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Olivet Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Brown to Serenity Hospice at 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
