Louie Williams

Funeral services for Mr. Louie Williams, age 92, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Raymond Brown, Rev. Alan Meeks and Rev. Bob Rathbun will officiate. Mr. Williams was born November 12, 1921 in Johnson County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland & Fleta Pullen Williams and his wife, Virginia Wilson Williams. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the United States Army. He was a member of Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church where he served as a Deacon. He retired from the Johnson County School System as a bus driver and he was also a farmer. Mr. Williams passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014. He is survived by his son, Danny (Bennie) Williams of Kite, three grandchildren, Nichole Shepard of Kite, Monica Lindsey of Wrightsville and Michael Black of Waycross, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday October 13, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions, in memory of Mr. Williams, be made to Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church, 732 Page Garrett Road, Kite, Georgia 31049. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
