Louise Mary Goudreau

Louise Mary Goudreau, 91, died October 10, 2023, at a Bangor Hospital. She was born March 24, 1932, in Waterville, Maine. She was the daughter of Lawrence B. and Edith G. (Libby) Wright.


Louise was an administrator and business owner. She was happiest with a phone in her ear and a pen in her hand. As an avid gardener, Louise enjoyed tending to her beloved flowers. For over 20 years Louise was a resident at the Ellen M. Leach Memorial Home. She shared good times and many laughs with her friends there. Louise had an unwavering devotion to the Lord. It is that abiding faith that touched the hearts of those around her. She will be missed by all who knew her.


Louise is survived by her children, Daniel (Abbey) Hall, Mary, Heribert (Heidi) Goudreau, Joseph (Paula) Goudreau, and Toinia (David) Walker along with her daughter-in-law, Sue Hall; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Alice Eldridge. In addition to her husband, Heribert A. Goudreau, she was preceded in death by her sons, Gerald Hall, Sr., and David Hall, Sr.; a grandson, David T. Hall, Jr.; five sisters and two brothers.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, Maine, with Rev. Scott Taylor, Pastor of Hermon Baptist Church officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.


A graveside service at Emmanuel Christian Fellowship in Wrightsville, Georgia will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 20, 2023.


Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
