Louise Randall Jerles

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Randall Jerles, age 92 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Lyons City Cemetery. Rev. Hal Burke will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 and from 1:00 P.M. until funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Jerles was born on December 19, 1924 in Athens, GA to the late Dr. Foy Clifford Randall and Annie Mae Autry Randall Williams of Lyons, GA and Bristol, VA. Mrs. Jerles graduated from Lyons High School. She attended Bessie Tift College for 1 year and then transferred to Mary Washington College, Fredricksburg, VA, and graduated with a B.M. Degree in voice and piano. She was a member of the Glee Club (President and Soloist), Symphony Orchestra, Marching, Beta Phi Sorority. Mrs. Jerles attended summer school at Georgia Southern University- University of Georgia and many workshops to further her music education. She taught in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. She especially loved the 10 years working in the Glynn County School System. She returned to Adrian in 1986 and taught in Dublin City Schools until her retirement in 1989. She was pianist for Adrian United Methodist church for a number of years. After moving to Dublin, she played for Pine Hill United Methodist Church for three years. Mrs. Jerles loved antiques and was respected locally as an expert. She is survived by her son, Dr. Joseph Fred Jerles (Judi) of Clarksville, TN, granddaughter, Alisha Jerles Horn (Jason) of Clarksville, TN, son, James Randall Jerles (Lauren) of Ft. Myers, FL, daughter, Sally Anne Jerles (Betty Shradar) of Dublin, brother, Don Randall (Carrie) of Ft. Myers, FL, sister, Florence Randall Goff (Bob) of Luray, VA, and sister-in-law, Peggy Jerles (Bill). She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dr. F.C. Randall (Martha), David E. Randall (Edna), William A. Randall (Ann). She was greatly loved by her extended family, Cami Stokes (Brian), Evan Stokes, and Camryn Stokes. She had 5 nieces, 9 nephews, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She cherished her friends , Geva Alexander, Ann Woods, Betty Rose Joiner, Kitty Flanders, Shirley Miller, Debbie Rogers, and many friends, too numerous to name. Pallbearers will be Clayton Randall, Clifford Randall, Darrie Randall, Al Foy Randall, Wayne Randall, and Evan Stokes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Keith Cobb, Art Goff, Bob Goff, Billy Jerles, Dr. Matthew Jerles, Bob Randall, and Bryson Caproni. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
