On March 2, 2016, after an excruciatingly painful and extended stay at Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Louise Jackson Leverett, age 74, completed her earthly journey and is now rejoicing with her Heavenly Father.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Love officiating.
Mrs. Leverett was born May 18, 1941 in Burke County but spent the majority of her life in Washington County. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Taylor & Mildred Frost Jackson, a brother, Joe Jackson and a sister, Ruby Mimbs. She was an active and devoted member of Tennille Baptist Church holding many offices and positions throughout the years. Mrs. Leverett held many secular jobs during her lifetime but was most recently retired as a lab technician from Imerys.
She is survived by her husband, John Leverett of Tennille, her daughters, Faye Leverett and Janice Leverett Dominy both of Sandersville, two granddaughters, Tiffany Dominy (Paul) Fogle of Savannah and Brooke Dominy of Anchorage, Alaska, a great-grandson, Bane Fogle of Savannah and her brothers and sisters, Gene (Jennie Lou) Jackson of Riddleville, Ann Jackson Jones of Riddleville, Bill (Jeanette) Jackson, Sr. of Sandersville, Sandra (Randy) Smith of Tennille, Brenda (Robert) Taylor of Hampton and Russell (Doris) Jackson of Guyton and a sister-in-law, Janie Jackson of Guyton.
Memorial gifts may be made to Tennille Baptist Church or New Bethel Baptist Church.
