Funeral services for Mr. John Luther Hadden, age 70, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 6, 2018 at New Home Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Burton Dixon will officiate.
Mr. Hadden was born March 30, 1948 in Wrightsville, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Henry L. Hadden and Carrie Powell Hadden. He was a member of New Home Baptist Church and was retired as Construction Superintendent with Lindy McDonald Construction Company. He was also a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. Mr. Hadden passed away Monday, December 3, 2018.
He is survived by his children, Eric (Wendy) Hadden of Wrightsville and Belinda Wray of Harrison, his significant other, Barbara Roberson, a brother, Harry Hadden and a sister, Cindy Little both of Wrightsville, seven grandchildren, Skyler Hadden, MacKenzie Hadden, Ramsey Hadden, Garrett Hadden, Landon Stephens, Lindsey Wray and Logan Wray, two great-grandchildren, Clayton & Colton Hadden, two step-children, Mitchell Brantley and Michelle Carter and three step-grandchildren, Macy Daniel, Marley Driver and Bryce Driver.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Dye, Justin Perkins, Mitchell Brantley, Landon Stephens, Logan Wray and Skylar Hadden.
James Keyton, Tim Keyton, Sammy Keyton, Buddy Fortner and Ed Vickers will serve as Honorary Escort.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
