Lynda Gayle Rawls

Funeral services for Lynda G. Rawls, age 71, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 25, 2021, at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Rawls was born on May 19, 1950, in Dublin, Georgia. Gayle worked many years at Crowntex before she began substitute teaching in Johnson County, and went on to work at the Bank of Wrightsville, where she worked as the drive-thru teller until she retired. She was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Franklin and Evie Dell Carter. Mrs. Rawls passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She is survived by her husband, James "Jim" O. Rawls, Jr., daughter, Kristi R. McNeely, twin brother, Dale Carter, 3 grandchildren, Gina Heuett, Brianna Heuett, and Coralee McNeely, and great-granddaughter, Maibree Amelia Boes. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Franklin Carter, Johnie Carter, Michael Wood, Robbie Gilder, Kerald Kight, and Jason Lee. The family will be meeting at the McNeely residence, 158 Fortner Pond Rd, Kite, GA 31049. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
