Lynn A. Thompson

Private Family Graveside funeral services for Lynn A. Thompson, age 76 will be held at 11:00 A.M, Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville, Georgia. Dr. Mike Bankston will officiate.

Mr. Thompson was born January 10, 1947, in Macon, Georgia. He was the son of the late Andrew P. and Mirdie L. Thompson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Walter C. Thompson and Wayne T. Thompson. He was employed by W.F. Jackson Construction Company and Wrightsville Fire Department. He had been a volunteer firefighter, and Boy Scout Leader for Troop 61, and a member of Order of Arrow. He loved to fish but his most favorite thing to do was supporting his grandchildren in cheer, dance, and baseball. Mr. Thompson passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his loving wife of 55 years; Sue I. Thompson of Wrightsville, Georgia one son; Marcus A. Thompson (Lisa) of Dacula, Georgia; grandchildren Katelyn E. Thompson and Carson A. Thompson of Dacula, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Johnson County Firefighters c/o Bank of Wrightsville 156 N. Bradford St, Wrightsville, GA 31096 or a charity of your choice.

The family will be at The Owensby residence on Lee Street.
