Lynward "Tucker" Woodard Mimbs

Funeral services for Lynward "Tucker" Woodard Mimbs, age 80 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 26, 2024 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Rev. Daryl Sumner will officiate.

Mr. Mimbs was born August 31, 1943, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Morgan and Bessie Garnto Mimbs. He was a retired truck driver for W.F. Jackson Construction. Mr. Mimbs passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Mr. Mimbs is survived by his wife, Barbara Mimbs of Adrian, 2 daughters, Penny (Daryl) Sumner of Adrian, and Tammy McGahee of Adrian, a stepson, James E. (Sheila) Thigpen of Wrightsville, 1 sister, Doris Lavon Mimbs Boyd, 7 grandchildren, Patrick (Elaine) Mimbs, Tasha (Jason) Giles, Josh (Kacy) Warren, Nikki Anderson, and Mikayla Sumner, Jonathan (Jennifer) Thigpen, and Cynthia (Emmanuel) Gontorwon, 13 great-grandchildren, Jason Giles, Jr., Jessica Giles, Jordyn Giles, Alex Warren, Alexis Warren, McKinzlee Anderson, Gunner Anderson, Mose Henderson, Cynasia Kellam, Cyntell Lovett, Makayla Thigpen, Alaina Thigpen, and Shanna Thigpen.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 26, 2024, at the funeral home.
