Mahala Minter Nix

Funeral services for Mahala Minter Nix, age 67 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Marie Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.

Mrs. Nix was born June 23, 1959, in Macon, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James Milton Minter and Betty Jean Smith Minter. She was a retired court clerk for the City of Dublin. She was a member of Marie Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grammie. Mrs. Nix passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at her residence surrounded by family.

Mrs. Nix is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dwain Nix of Rockledge; a son, Jason Nix (Brittney Slusher) of Rockledge; a daughter, Mandy Nix Joiner (Matt) of Dublin; a brother, Randall Minter of East Dublin; 2 sisters, Debbie Melton of Dublin and Millie Pierce of Dublin; and 5 grandchildren, Kanyon Nix, Kason Nix, Carlie Criswell, Brooklyn Oxford, and Winter Criswell.

Pallbearers will be Kanyon Nix, Kason Nix, Dusty Nix, Blake Nix, Phil Gay, and Tim Gay.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Marie Baptist Church.
