Margaret "Doris" F. Raley

Graveside services for Mrs. Margaret "Doris" F. Raley, 89, of Savannah, Georgia, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Westview Cemetery. Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate. Mrs. Raley was born on January 9, 1931 in Glennville, Georgia to the late Walter and Myrtle Grooms. Doris was the wife of the late Benton Raley Jr. of Wrightsville. She also is preceded in death by her sons, Jimmy, Larry, and David Ferguson. She retired from the Union Camp Paper Mill and worked as a beautician. For many years she was a foster mom and looked after many children whom she loved as her own. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Raley passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her home. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Raley, granddaughter, Ashley Raley, and great grandson, Liam Woods, all of Savannah. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
