Margaret Shurling Ivey

Graveside services for Margaret Shurling Ivey, 89, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 4, 2020 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Mike Bankston officiating. Mrs. Ivey was born on August 16, 1931 in Washington County, Georgia. She was a member of the Wrightsville First United Methodist Church, the First Methodist Women of Christ, and the Adult Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Channel Johnson and her husband, John Quincy Ivey. Mrs. Ivey passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Serenity Place Hospice. Mrs. Ivey is survived by her son, Ken Ivey (Terresa) of Dublin, and daughter, Karen Chapple (Steve) of Milledgeville, 3 grandchildren, Dustin Ivey, Ashley Walden, and Ryan Chapple, 4 great grandchildren, and special friend, Marsha Hutcheson Olmstead. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and staff respectfully ask all in attendance to please wear mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Wrightsville First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
