Marilyn Carter Webb, age 97, of Dublin, Georgia passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022 at Dublinair Health & Rehab Center.
Marilyn Webb was born in Johnson County, Georgia on March 10, 1925 to the late Wallace Carter and Birdie McCumber Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Brent Webb of Atlanta and her daughter Sharon Shore Webb of Lawrenceville, her sister Gloria Carter Perry and brother-in-law J. S. Perry of Rentz and her brother Wallace "Bo" Carter, Jr. and sister-in-law Ramona Carter of Aiken, South Carolina. She is survived by her beloved grandson Bradley Shore of Powder Springs, a nephew Randall Perry (Kathy) of Grayson and a niece Denise Hicks (Hank) of Rentz. Marilyn graduated from Wrightsville High School in 1943.
Ms. Webb was a homemaker and had resided in Dublin since moving from Atlanta in June 1994. For the many years while she was able, she enjoyed cooking; sewing; reading; working in her flower gardens; and feeding the birds, especially the hummingbirds. She always loved visiting with her neighbors, as they were her most dear and cherished friends.
She was a member of Skyland United Methodist Church of Atlanta.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 21 at noon at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Inc., 2000 Cobb Parkway, Marietta, Georgia 30060.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
