Marjorie K. Frost

October 23, 1938 — June 20, 2023

Marjorie Kay Belcher Frost, 84, gained her wings to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Emanuel County Medical Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Ellie Belcher and Nannie Bell Harrison Belcher, her loving sweetheart of 54 years, Johnnie Bryan Frost, and her dear sister, Mary Belcher (Daley) Powell.

Mrs. Frost was a lifelong member of Powell's Chapel Church, where she taught Sunday School and served as treasurer. She was the matriarch of the church and loved her church family as her own.

Mrs. Frost was a wonderful God fearing, child loving lady, most kindhearted woman, who was not shy of sharing her thoughts. She worked many years as a seamstress at Apparelcraft before returning home to be with her mother and mother-in-law. She was best known as "Ma". She babysat and loved over 40 children in her home. Ma was known as the best cook around- making lacy corn bread and cakes for her babies. Her love for children included serving as the Johnson County Band Booster President for many years.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-love, Anthony (Becky) Frost of Wrightsville and Alan (Malana) Frost of Kite, five grandchildren, Caitlyn Frost of Norcross, Christopher (Jessy) Frost of Kite, Erica Frost of Sylvania, Zac (Sheree) Frost and Dannah Frost of Wrightsville, two great grandchildren, Sarah Marie Frost and Walker Bryan Frost of Wrightsville, two nephews, Ricky (Susan) Powell, Rex (Wendy) Powell and many loving family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 23, 2023, at Powell's Chapel Church with Rev. David Oliver and Rev. Sammie Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Wrightsville. Otherwise, family will gather at Ma's home on Hwy 221.

Pallbearers will be Lane Oliver, Coty Colston, Morgan Colston, Shelton Smith, Garrett Orr, and Charles Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be all children that Ma babysat, and the members of Powell's Chapel Church.
