Mark William Clark, also known as Roo, a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality, left us on May 31, 2026. Born on January 16, 1960, to Mody and Jean Clark, he followed their lead and lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others.
He was also preceded in death by, his "pageant" daughter, Destiney Kight, and his best friend, Ray Robbilard.
He leaves behind the love of his life for the past 21 years, Lisa Foskey Clark of Wrightsville, GA. Lisa was his devoted wife, whose presence brought him comfort, laughter, and purpose every single day. To know him was to know how deeply he adored her — in the quiet moments, the shared dreams, and the unwavering love they built together. Their bond was a beautiful example of partnership, loyalty, and enduring love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who witnessed it.
The life they built together, merged 2 families into one. His grandchildren - Brintley Jackson, Lakeland Jackson, Paisleigh Harter, Ada Leigh Harter, and Morgan Jackson - were his light. He was able to be the best Papa Roo to them. He carried his whit and charmed, and used it to mold his nephews and nieces into witty, one phrase commenters they are. He leaves behind Mother-in-Law, Susan Foskey, and Father & Mother In Law, Rickey and Lisa Foskey of Adrian, a stepson, Franklin Loyd, Gage Houser- Bonus son, sister in laws- Misty Foskey and Charline Foskey of Adrian, and 2 brother in laws, Justin and Christopher Foskey. Mark and Lisa were members of the Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene. He was a faithful servant of the Lord whose life reflected his deep love for God and commitment to his faith. Guided by prayer and grounded in scripture, he lived with compassion, humility, and grace. His legacy of faith will continue to inspire all who knew him, as his life was a testament to love, forgiveness, and enduring hope
He held a deep love and respect for the United States and the men and women who serve our country. He proudly served the United States Army for 6 years. Patriotic to his core, he proudly honored the values of freedom, sacrifice, and service, and carried immense admiration for the military throughout his life. Whether through his words, actions, or unwavering support of veterans and active service members, his love for his country was evident to all who knew him.
For more than 40 years, music was not just something he played — it was the way he spoke to the world. Whether behind a microphone, on a stage, or surrounded by friends with instruments in hand, he carried a rhythm that brought people together. His talent, passion, and unmistakable presence left lasting memories in every song performed and every heart touched. Long after the final note fades, his music and the joy he shared through it will continue to echo in the lives of those who loved him. With his musical history, he played in bands all over the USA, with recent years in the Middle Georgia Area. He played with Snickery Thicket, Sam's Drive In Band, The High Mileage Band, and his all-time favorite, 280 Cruisers.
One of Mark's most commendable accomplishments was his status as an accomplished salesman with Old Castle Building Envelope. He dedicated much of his life to his career as a regional sales representative, where his work ethic, professionalism, and gift for connecting with people earned the respect of coworkers, clients, and friends alike. More than sales, he valued the relationships he built along the way, always leaving others with a smile, a story, or a helping hand. His ability to make people feel valued was one of his greatest strengths, both in business and in life.
Mark gave back to his community. He was a board member of the Dublin-Laurens County Humane Society, a member of the Dublin Moose Lodge, and partner with Pageants with Purpose. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Deeply rooted in his community, he found joy in supporting others, offering encouragement, and stepping up whenever help was needed. His kindness, generosity, and servant’s heart left a lasting impact on countless lives, and his presence will be greatly missed by the community he cared for so deeply.
