Marvin Lynn Osborne

Marvin Lynn Osborne, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Carl Vinson V. A. Medical Center, in Dublin, GA.


Mr. Osborne was born on August 19, 1949, in Wichita, Kansas. He was the son of the late Jerold Osborne and Juanita Hosier-Trammell. He was a United States Army veteran; he served in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart medal. He was a member of the VFW.


Marvin lived in Dublin, GA for the last 34 years. He rented from Tim and Debbie Gay that entire time and they became good friends. He enjoyed his quiet lifestyle and living in the beautiful country.


Marvin spent many years going to elementary and junior high school in Fredonia, KS and often spoke of his memories of that time and the many friends he had in Kansas. His nickname among his friends was "OZ". He also lived in Kansas for a time after he was honorably discharged from the Army. He also lived in Florida for a time before settling in Georgia.


He is survived by his sister, Debra Maynes and her family of Fairbanks, AK; an aunt, Bobbie Hosier of San Antonio, TX; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.


Mr. Osborne will be memorialized by cremation and no formal service will be held at this time.


Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of arrangements.
