Mary Alice Carr

Graveside funeral services for Mary Alice Carr, age 89, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Kight will officiate.

Mrs. Carr was born on April 13, 1936, in Dublin, Georgia. She was a homemaker and was a member of Dublin Church of God. She loved being outside and working her flower garden. She enjoyed watching wrestling and doing word puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felton Townsend, Sr. and Ethel Johnson Townsend, her siblings, Junior Townsend, Flossie Smith, Betty Landrum, Lorene Graham and Reba Sterling. Mrs. Carr passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Dublinair Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Thompson, her son, Barry Carr (Mona), two stepchildren, Randel Carr and Cindy Farrell, 2 sisters, Dean Hembree and Margaret Kight, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory.
