Mary Opal Chalker

Graveside funeral services for Mary Opal Chalker, age 79, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Dublin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jonathan Shepard officiating.

Mrs. Chalker was born June 24, 1943, in Gibson, Georgia and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Dye and Grace Dye Chalker; and her husband, Charles Franklin Chalker. Mrs. Chalker passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Community Hospice of Vidalia.

She is survived her son, John Martin; daughter, Debra (Jeff) Carlisle; two stepsons, Johnny (Lori) Chalker and Billy (Kim) Chalker; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
