Mary J. Deese

Mrs. Mary J. Deese, age 79 passed away on January 29, 2016 at Serenity Place. Mrs. Deese was born on July 8, 1936 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Laura Percey Walker Vandyke. Mary was a devoted wife for 62 years and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great- great grandmother. She was a strong woman and a hard worker for over 50 years. She had a heart of gold and will be missed immensely. Mrs. Deese is survived by her husband, Kenneth C. Deese of Milan, a son, Kenneth R. Deese of Milan, 2 daughters, Sonya Deese of Wrightsville, and Dixie Davis of Grand Rapids, Michigan, a brother, Mart Vandyke of Uvalda, 6 grandchildren, Kayla Deese, Ashley Deese, Charlie Snow Evans, Brandon Deese, Aaron Deese, and Derrick Cook, and 7 great -grandchildren, Jarrison Deese, Nora Deese, Isabella Deese, Miranda Curl, Brayden Cook, Jackson Cook, and Harper Cook, and a great-great grandchildren, Ardie Ray Evans.
