Mary Ellen Lamb

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Lamb, age 69, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in Wrightsville. Rev. Paul Brown will officiate Mrs. Lamb was born October 8, 1945 in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Horace and Mary Lou Pournell Page, and her husbands, James Earl Gibson and James Marvin Lamb and a brother, William Page. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Lamb passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Susan (Carson) Knight of Dublin, a sister, Diane Fordham of Warthen, two grandchildren, Lindsay Pounds, and Jesse Knight, and two great grandchildren, Aiden Pounds and Gracie Pounds, a son-in-law, Rodney Pounds and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday December 21, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Rodney Pounds, Mike Fortune, Taylor Fortune, Dru Watson, Carl Knight and Clay Tapley. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
