Mary Elizabeth Mcenrue

Memorial Mass for Mary Elizabeth McEnrue, 87, will be held at 12:10 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A reception will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. at the residence.

Ms. McEnrue was born on March 19, 1935, in Flint Michigan to her parents, James Michael and Mary L. Gannon McEnrue. She moved to Laurens County 40 years ago and worked as a nurse at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Her nick name was "Mother Goose" to her family. She enjoyed gardening and her prize roses were Mr. Lincoln with a sweet fragrance; snap dragons were another favorite and she would show how they open their little mouths. She loved babies, her dogs, and cats. Ms. McEnrue passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, "Jack" John Frances McEnrue; James Edward McEnrue; Margaret Agnes Crepeau; "Doll" Catherine Ann Murray; and Patrick Michael McEnrue. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Also, a memorial service will be held at a later date at Sharp Funeral Home/Fenton Chapel in Fenton, MI for family and friends not able to attend in Georgia.
