A celebration of life will be held for Mary Schrock at a later date.
Mary Schrock, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, service, and joy that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Mary was born on June 9, 1953, in Emmett, Idaho, to Walt and Irene Conrad. From the beginning, she carried a spirit that was vibrant, determined, and full of life. She had a fiery personality, an unmatched passion for living, and a heart that made everyone around her feel cared for, protected, and loved.
Forty-three years ago, Mary married the love of her life, Joe Schrock. Together they built a life filled with memories, adventure, and devotion, living in Idaho, Nevada, and eventually Georgia. Wherever Mary called home, she brought warmth, energy, and a sense of community with her.
Mary dedicated more than 30 years of her life to nursing, a calling that reflected exactly who she was. She cared deeply for others, often putting their needs before her own. Her compassion, skill, and steady presence touched countless lives, and her service as a nurse remains one of the many ways she gave so generously to the world.
Outside of her work, Mary found joy in the things that made life beautiful. She loved her family fiercely. She loved to travel, to garden, to quilt, and to be involved in her community. Her hands created beauty, her heart created comfort, and her presence made ordinary moments feel special. Whether through a quilt stitched with care, a garden tended with love, or time spent with the people she cherished, Mary poured herself fully into everything she did.
She is preceded in death by her eldest son, Brett Draper; her parents, Walt and Irene Conrad; and her brothers, Wayne Conrad and Dale Conrad.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Joe Schrock; her son and daughter-in-law, Lafe and Jacqueline Draper; her grandson, Landon Draper; and her granddaughter, Alexia Draper. She also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, former patients, colleagues, and loved ones whose lives were made better because she was in them.
Mary will be remembered for her fire, her laughter, her devotion, her strength, and her enormous heart. She loved deeply, gave freely, and lived fully. Though she will be greatly missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain forever stitched into the hearts of those who loved her.
Her life was beautiful, her impact was lasting, and she will be loved always.
