Mary Sally Stapleton

Funeral services for Mary Sally Stapleton, age 77, of Wrightsville will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2025, at Kite Church of God, with interment to follow at Sardis Cemetery. Dr. Tom Akins and Mr. Randy Buxton will officiate.

Mrs. Stapleton was born April 12, 1948, in Dublin, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Tant and Ruby Hooks Tant. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Wilkerson, and a brother, Bill Tant. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kite Church of God. Mrs. Stapleton passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Mrs. Stapleton is survived by her husband, Ellie Stapleton of Adrian; a son, Brian Wilkerson (Susan) of Kite; 2 daughters, Lisa Keyton (Tim) of Wrightsville and Deidre Ledford (Jim) of Wrightsville; a sister, Merle Mullis of Dublin; 6 grandchildren, Amanda Blue (Quinton), Ashley May (Todd), Carly Soles (Gavin), Katie Ledford, Tyler Wilkerson, and Kenny Wilkerson; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Kite Church of God.
