MaryAnn Hightower, 64, of Dublin, was called home to join her heavenly choir on Monday, August 16, 2021. After fighting a rough battle with Covid, she passed peacefully with her children by her side.
Mrs. Hightower was born MaryAnn Passmore on March 16, 1957, in Dublin, Georgia to John Benuard Passmore and Sibyl Ussery Lee. She was the youngest of 8 siblings.
MaryAnn was a member of East Dublin Dayspring Worship Center, formerly East Dublin Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, and enjoyed every moment with her church family praising the Lord. She had a kind and loving heart and would help anyone in need. During food box distribution she was on the front line handing out boxes with her unforgettable smile and "God loves you." Those who knew her will surely remember her as someone who never met a stranger and had a passion for singing!
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Joel Passmore and James Edward Passmore, both of Dublin.
MaryAnn leaves behind to cherish her in memories, her longtime companion Vince Clements of Dublin; daughter Tamara Hightower of Macon; son Jerry Hightower of Macon; grandchildren, Destiny Downard, Daryl Bettis, Jr., Trinity Bettis, Carter and Hayden; great grandchild, Harley Greenway; siblings, John S. Passmore (Sallie), Gene Passmore (Carlene), Sarah Williams, Nancy Page, and Debbie Miller, all of Dublin. Special sister-in-law, Jean Passmore of Dublin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
