Funeral services for Maxie Keith Smith, Jr., age 64 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 12, 2021, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Johnny Payne and Rev. Keith Collins will officiate. The funeral will be live streamed at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 12, 2021 at https://my.gather.app/remember/maxie-keith-smith-jr . Mr. Smith was born May 22, 1957, in Pensacola, Florida. He was the son of the late Maxie Keith Smith and Beverly Smith. He was a truck driver for Ellington, Inc. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. Mr. Smith passed away, Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Smith of Rentz, a son, Frank Klein of Nashville, TN, a daughter, Samantha Dianne Smith of Rentz, and a grandchild, Elena Ray Cooper. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Friday, November 12, 2021, at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
