Funeral services for Maxine Rudd Hobbs, age 78 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Dublin First United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Buckhorn United Methodist Church Cemetery. Dr. Bob Williams will officiate.
Mrs. Hobbs was born on December 3, 1938 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Bernard James and Gladys Brown Rudd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hobbs. She was a retired Insurance Associate for State Farm Insurance. She is a member of Dublin First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Progressive Sunday School Class, and Mary Martha Circle. She is a lifelong member of the USO. She volunteered with Dublin Main Street Munchies. She served as a Youth Group Volunteer at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Marietta Georgia and the Dublin First United Methodist Church. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan and Atlanta Braves Fan. She loved Gospel Music. Mrs. Hobbs passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at her residence with her daughters by her side.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in the Parlor at Dublin First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hobbs' grandson Matthew Watford and her nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Hobbs to your local Meals-On-Wheels or Local Food Pantry as Mrs. Hobbs was well known for her love of feeding others.
