Funeral services for Michael Thomas Lancaster, age 66, will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Baker Baptist Church with Rev. Gregg Soles and Rev. Myron Wise officiating. Burial will follow in Dexter Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Lancaster was born on October 10, 1954, in Fitzgerald Georgia, to the late Joseph and Bernice Lancaster. Mike was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for duck hunting. He also loved his role as a nurse practitioner and has served Dublin and the surrounding communities for over 30 years. After rededicating his life to the Lord in 2015 he joined Christ Chapel Dublin. He served in many capacities, including his current role as the leader of The Band of Brothers men's ministry. He was known for his kindness and compassion and his love for people. Especially his family. He truly was the hands and feet of Jesus. Mike passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Lancaster of Dublin, 3 sons, Matthew Lancaster (Katie) of Dexter, Micah Lancaster (Charlotte) of St. Simons Island, and Zach Allen of Dublin, daughter, Morgan Allen of Dublin, brother, Danny Lancaster (Charleen) of Pullman, WA, and grandchildren, Liam Lancaster, Ava Lancaster, Libby Lancaster, and John Bertram Lancaster.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Johnson, Ryan Mullis, Terry Webb, Chan Thomas, A.J. Champion, and Jim Peters.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ Chapel Church, 604 Academy Ave., Dublin, GA 31021.
