Michael Billy Wood

Funeral services for Michael Billy Wood, age 64, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 8, 2024, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tony Lupton and Rev. Josh Wood officiating.

Mr. Wood was born on December 19, 1959, in Dublin, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster "Billy" Wood and Louise Rigby Allen; and his wife, Wanda Mimbs Wood. Mr. Wood was a resident of Middleburg, Florida, a retired veteran of the United States Navy, where he served for 22 years and worked 14 years civil service. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs Fan and loved football. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Mr. Wood passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Community Hospice Care in Jacksonville, Florida after a long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Wood (Beth) of East Dublin; sister, Judy Wood Eubanks (David) of Rentz; brother, Randy Thomas (Nannette) of Cadwell; grandchild, Nate Wood; and nieces, Amanda Eubanks (Terry White), Katie Little (Dustin), Aranda Renew (Vince) and Brittany Padgett (Ken).

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel. The family will also receive friends at the home of Melissa Wood, 129 Lakeview Dr, East Dublin, GA 31027.
