Miki Ammerman

Miki Tremaine Ammerman, 59, of Dublin died Tuesday, September 17, 2019 surrounded by family. Mr. Ammerman was born on October 1, 1959 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Earle and Shigeko Ammerman. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Robin Ammerman; brothers, Nelson (Cindy) Ammerman of Dublin, GA and Roy (Diane) Ammerman of Dublin, GA; children, Richard (Leigh) Moore of Dublin, GA, Nikki (Joey) Jackson of Dublin, GA, Tony (Nichole) Ammerman of Dublin, GA, and Amber (Andy) King of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Dawson Perry, Kaden Passmore, Teegan Passmore, Brendan Moore, Allie Moore, Carter Moore, Norah King, Jonah King, and Liliona Ammerman; aunt, Garnette (Clint) Humphreys of Lakeland, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Ammerman enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1978 where he served as a medical specialist. After his service, Mr. Ammerman was employed as a registered nurse with numerous hospitals around the state including Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and Memorial Hospital in Savannah. He was a long time employee of Fairview Park Hospital and more recently, Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. He served as a clinical nursing and ACLS instructor for many years where he found great joy teaching new generations of medical professionals. Mr. Ammerman was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. When asked what legacy he wanted to leave, he stated that he hoped he gave more to this world than he took and that he hoped others would be positively impacted by his faith in Christ. He will be greatly missed by both family and friends. The family will receive friends at 135 Westchester Circle. Visitation will be at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory at 1pm Saturday with Memorial service following at 2pm with Rev. Bobby Hutto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice Foundation P.O. 428 Dublin, GA, Designated to Veterans. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
