Funeral services for Mildred Deloris Devaney, age 84 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 7, 2016 at Bethsaida Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Myron Wise and Rev. Brad Ball will officiate.
Mrs. Devaney was born on January 5, 1932 in Athens, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Agnis Passmore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George William Devaney, a son, Mike Robert Devaney, and a brother, Jack Thomas. She has lived in Laurens County, Georgia for the past 80 years. She was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church. She was retired from Shamrock. Mrs. Devaney passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Serenity Place.
Mrs. Devaney is survived by her 3 daughters, Georga Devaney (Forrest) Butler of Dublin , Teresa Devaney (Tom) Moll of Anchorage, Alaska, and Dee Devaney Young of Dublin, a sister, Brenda Passmore Steptoe of Dublin, 5 grandchildren, Kim Young(Mike) Lancaster, Will (Chris Reed) Young, Nikki Nichole Ward, Austin Moll, and Eric Moll, 5 great-grandchildren, Morgan Rae Allen, Zachary Chad Allen, Caroline Rhodes Young, Zelan Romero, and Landen Romero, 2 cousins, Donna Copas, and Buffy Copas, and a niece, Renee Watson.
Pallbearers will be Richard Copas, Joe Allen, Tim Allen, Ivan Wise, Scott Knight, and Buddy Young.
The family may be contacted at the home of Mike and Kim Lancaster at 274 Rum Creek Trail, Dublin, GA 31021. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the funeral home.
