Memorial services for Montgomery “Monty” Walker Toler, age 77, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 29, 2026, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Kelly Toler will officiate.
Mr. Toler was born on August 20, 1949, in Dublin, Georgia. He retired after 33 years as a fireman with the City of Dublin. He enjoyed his family and being the best papa, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching football, NASCAR races, westerns and Andy Griffith. He was preceded in death by his parents, David “Doc” Toler and Hazel Walker Toler; sister, Diana Hollis; and brother, Greg Toler. Mr. Toler passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Savage Toler of Dublin; sons, Kelly Toler (Julie) and Nicholas “Nick” Graham both of Dublin; daughters Kimberly Anthony (Travis) of Oak Park and Jennifer Renfroe (Dustin) of Rentz; brother, David Toler of Adairsville; sister, Teresa Bellflower (Bruce) of Dublin; 14 grandchildren, Meaghan Moses of Rentz, Addysen Deal (McKade Kight) of Mt. Vernon, Charlie Graham, Cresleigh Renfroe, Chase Renfroe and Carley Renfroe (Randall Westberry) all of Rentz, Lyndsey Graham (Maddie), Macee Graham (Chance Oliver) and Lily Graham all of East Dublin, Hope Bowen of Evans, CO, Ashton Jackson (Evan) of Milledgeville, Anna Anthony, Sadie Toler and Sophia Toler all of Dublin; 5 great grandchildren, Hailey Jackson of Milledgeville, Atia Jaramillo, Ariana Jaramillo, Angelina Jaramillo and Marcos Jarmaillo all of Evans, CO; his childhood best friend, Wayne Starley of Fayetteville, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be past and present members of the City of Dublin Fire Department.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the home of Jennifer and Dustin Renfroe, 2615 Chelsey Drive, Rentz, GA 31075.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Atrium Health Navicent Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Monty’s memory.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of the funeral arrangements.
