Morris T. Grant, Jr.

Morris T. Grant, Jr. age 83, of Dublin passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at Dublinair Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Grant was born November 10, 1935 in Meeks, GA. He was a retired electrician with Graham Electric. He was proceeded in death by his father Morris T. Grant, Sr., his mother, Mettie Webb Grant, and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife, Darthy Stephens Grant of Dublin, his twin brother, Horace D. Grant of Aiken, SC, his son, Tim (Marsha) Smith of Wrightsville, his daughters, Donna (James) Rhoten Jr. of Greenville, SC and Darlene (Kenny) Daniel of Dublin. Five grandchildren, Wendy Smith, Lori (Neal) Rogers, Kassie (Bill) Middlebrooks, Michael Rhoten, and Mandy Rhoten. Two great-grandchildren Laila and Jacob Grant Rogers & several nieces and nephews. His greatest love was his family. He never met a stranger and loved fishing, yard sales, and ice cream. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, September 2, 2019 at Union Grove Calvary Holiness Church Cemetery, 889 Union Grove Church Rd, Wrightsville, GA. Rev. James Covington and Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate. Family will receive friends Monday, September 2, 2019, one hour prior to the service in the cemetery. The family will meet at the residence of Kenny and Darlene Daniel, 1008 Old Toomsboro Rd, Dublin, GA 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
