Myrtice Irene Lee

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtice Irene Lee, age 87, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday December 15, 2016 at Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Elder Tommy McGee & Rev. Allen Meeks will officiate. Mrs. Lee was born March 26, 1929 in Wrightsville, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Willie Cleo Brantley and Vera Mae Webb Brantley, her first husband, Robert B. Fortner and five siblings, R.T. Brantley, Grady Brantley, Doris Tanner, Dorothy Brasher and Pauline Williams. She was a member of Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Apparalecraft. Mrs. Lee passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her home following an extended illness. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Novis Lee of Kite, a son, Guy B. (Marolyn) Fortner of Wrightsville, two daughters, Dianne Wiggins and Robbie (Wayne) Ward both of Kite, three step-sons, David (Cindy) Lee of Wadley, Robert (Cathy) Lee of Kite and Greg (Pam) Lee of Louisiana, a step-daughter, Debbie (Jim) Molton of Wadley, a brother, Larry Brantley of Wrightsville, two sisters, Annette Padgett of Astor, FL and Hazel Flanders of Dublin, 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Eddie Brantley, Ken Tanner, Joe Williams, Danny Flanders, Sammy Lee and Wendell Brantley. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
