Nadine Foskey Smith

Funeral services for Nadine Foskey Smith, age 88, will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the Wrightsville Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Mr. Thurmon Foskey, Rev. Stephen Robinson and Rev. Kevin Foskey will officiate. Services will be livestreamed at https://my.gather.app/remember/nadine-smith-2022

Ms. Smith was born on May 9, 1934, in Rockledge, Georgia to the late Otis and Mattie Mae Foskey. She was a faithful member of the Wrightsville Church of the Nazarene for 67 years. She worked for many years with Apparel Craft and Crown Tex and was a nanny for many families in Johnson County. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Smith, her daughter, Linda Miller, and her siblings, Lanier Foskey, Remus Foskey, and Avis Foskey Carroll. Ms. Smith passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at her residence.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Jerry) Sumner of Wrightsville, granddaughters, Brandi (Ron) Blaxton and Courtney (Kent) Foskey of Wrightsville, great grandchildren, Joshua Mixon, Gracie Ann Foskey and Weston Foskey, siblings, Homer (Joanne) Foskey of Dongola, IL, Earl (Wanda) Foskey of Dublin, Thurmon (Thelma) Foskey of Dublin, Troy (Faye) Foskey of Oconee, and Hazel Johnson of Vidalia.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted and/or memorial contributions may be made to the Wrightsville Church of the Nazarene in Ms. Smith's memory.

Pallbearers will be Todd McAfee, Jeff Foskey, Davie Foskey, Chris Johnson, Keith Foskey and Jason Foskey. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wrightsville Church of the Nazarene.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
