Graveside funeral services for Nannie "Mae" Branch, age 82, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Billy Todd officiating.
Mrs. Branch was born on February 23, 1941, in Johnson County, Georgia. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from J.P. Stevens/Forstmann where she worked in the spinning department. She loved fishing, baking for family and friends, and attending church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olvie and Gladys Garnto Mimbs; brother, Wesley Mimbs; and two sisters, Leotha Martin and Dorcas Carrol. Mrs. Branch passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thurston Branch; daughter, Nannette Thomas (Randy); son, Roger Garnto (Julia); sisters, Bernita Jenkins, Travis Carroll, and Margie McLendon; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Chavis (Chris), Brittany Padgett (Ken), and Aranda Renew (Vince); 3 great grandchildren, Haley Brown, Colby Chavis, and Laura Chavis, and 1 great grandchild, J.T. Brown.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Tarpley, Rob Powell, Roger Smith, Charlie Allen, Ronnie Wilkes, Hugh Smith, Raymond Wallace, Don Bradshaw, Tommie Daniel, Wendel Brantley, Jerry Brantley, Don Melvin, Raymond Thigpen, O.E. Clark, Ed Kersey, Franklin Frost, and Robby Brooks.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Remarkable Hospice, 1200 Hillcrest Parkway, Suite B, Dublin, GA 31021.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
