Nell V. Tanner

Graveside funeral services for Nell V. Tanner, age 93 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Randy Adams will officiate. Nell Tanner was born February 10, 1927 in Washington County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Cleon Adam and Maejessie Colson Veal. She is also preceded in death by her son, Larry Tanner, her siblings, Wilmer Veal, Burley Veal, Hazel Hardin, and Kay Snell, and a grandchild, Laurie Graham. She was self-employed at Wrightsville Cleaners. She was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church. Nell Tanner passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Scott Health and Rehab. Nell Tanner is survived by her son, Rex (Angela) Tanner of Dublin, 2 daughters, Gloria Little of Danville, and Pam (Anthony) Lord of Wrightsville, 2 sisters, Brinette Caneega and Dora Dean Tanner, a special sister-in-law, Velma Veal, and 15 grandchildren, Woodrow(Kim) Little, III, Carla Garnto(Wade), Clayton Little, Chelcey(Nate) Gray, Dustin(Katie) Little, Allen(Angel) Tanner, Denise(DWayne) Davis, Neil(Wendi) Lord, Shae(Shane) Keyton, Taylor Tanner, Matt Jett, Cory Jett, Brittany(Will) Oliver, Kala Lord, and Mitchell Lord. Pallbearers will be Edd Tanner, Dwayne Caneega, Tony Veal, Rocky Tanner, Dustin Little, and Taylor Tanner. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, September 14, 2020 at the funeral home. Social Distancing guidelines will be in effect and mask will be required by those attending as we are following the guidelines of the local health district and the CDC. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
