Funeral services for Mr. Nolan Mimbs, age 68, will be held 11:00 A.M, Friday, September 6th at Smith Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Adrian with interment following in Foskey Cemetery.
Pastor Elder Terry Lynn will be officiating. Nolan passed away Tuesday, September 3rd in his home.
Mr. Mimbs was born September 23, 1950 in Dublin, Ga to the late Leroy and Thelma Mimbs. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Lee Mimbs.
Nolan was a retired heavy equipment operator and foreman with W.F. Jackson construction company for 44 years. He was a member of Smith Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Nolan was a tough, hardworking, honest man that was loved by all who knew him. Nolan loved to hunt, fish, and garden with his wife of 30 years, Faye.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Mimbs of Wrightsville; three daughters, Christy (Brian) Landrum of Milledgeville, Sandy (Dallas) Derriso of Swainsboro, Shanna (Jason) Harrison of Caryville, FL; son, Justin (Ashley) Harrison of Kathleen; ten grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Amber Smith, Tiffany Williams, Gannon Williams, Anna Derriso, Jordan Sinclair, Ava Parker, Reesie Landrum, Connor Harrison, Adrian Salazar, and Caroline Harrison; one great-grandchild, Kamdyn Channell; two siblings, Gwen (Sammy) Lee of Kite, Mickey (Marie) Mimbs of Wrightsville; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Mimbs of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Stevie Clements, Payton Mimbs, Lee Mimbs, , Brian Mimbs, Tim Lee, and Garrison Mimbs.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
