Olen Pinkney Price, Jr.

Funeral services for Olen Pinkney Price, Jr., age 75, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Carter, Rev. Thomas Simmons, Mr. Chris Harvey, and Mr. Jamie Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Price was born on December 8, 1947, in Dublin, Georgia. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he served as deacon and song leader. He was a Chairman of the Washington County DFACS Board, member of the ASCS Board, and member of the Georgia Farm Bureau. He was retired from the motor pool maintenance department at the State of Georgia Department of Corrections. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olen P. and Martha L. Newsome Price, Sr. Mr. Price passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Shelba L. Price of Bartow; two sons, Olen Wesley (Tracey) Price of Wrightsville and William Neil Price of Bartow; sister, Dorothy Price Reynolds of Wrightsville; grandchildren, Thomas Price, Dustin (Harley) Price, Hunter (Kate) Price, Elliott Price and J.P. Price; and great grandchildren, Weston Price, Ronan Price and one on the way.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Price, Hunter Price, Elliott Price, J.P. Price, Jemel David, Eli David, Cullen Collins, and Robert Jackson.
