Funeral services for Ondrea Hobbs Greene, age 84, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 27, 2026, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.
Mrs. Greene was born August 4, 1941, in Dexter, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James Edward Hobbs, Sr. and Amy Lavert Alligood Hobbs. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jimmy Wayne “Peewee” Greene and Walter Preston “Pret” Smith; a son, Gary Wayne Greene; 3 brothers, Jimmy Hobbs, Jesse Hobbs, and Paul Hobbs; and a sister, Brenda Hobbs Pelham. She was an Honor Graduate from Dexter High School in 1959. She was a member of Beta Club, FHA, Drama Club, and the Basketball Team. She was employed and retired from Southern Bell/AT&T for over 30 years. She later worked as a switchboard operator for 10 years at Fairview Park Hospital. She was an active and faithful member of Marie Baptist Church for over 40 years until her health started to decline. She was a member of Faith Sunday School Class at Marie Baptist Church. Mrs. Greene passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Greene is survived by her son, Greg (Denise) Greene of Dublin; 2 brothers, Neil (Judy) Hobbs of Chester and Mickey (Mami) Hobbs of Newnan; a sister, Diane (Danny) Ikner of Dublin; 7 grandchildren, Justin Greene, Kara Greene, Piper Greene, Leila Greene, Emily Ott (Austin) Smith, Jonathan Fuller, and Benjamin Fuller; a great-grandchild, Holden Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ned Hobbs, Scott Greene, Jason Greene, Chris Ikner, Kevin Hobbs, and Johnny Pelham.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Monday, July 27, 2026, at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for the care and love they showed Mrs. Greene during time of sickness.
