Ottis E. Childers

Funeral services for Ottis E. Childers, age 87 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 11, 2023, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate.

Mr. Childers was born December 19, 1935, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Frank and Alma Manus Childers. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lumley Childers. He retired from OEC Construction Company. Mr. Childers passed away Monday, August 7, 2023, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Mr. Childers is survived by his 4 children, Sianne Brown of Lilburn, Mitchell Childers of Dublin, Ricky Childers of Stockton, CA, and Jeffery Childers of Jasper, a stepson, Richard Crosby of Snellville, 2 brothers, Authur Childers of Dublin, and Clarence Childers of Dublin, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brian Crafts, Eric Crafts, Jonathan Childers, Richard Crosby, Tristen Childers, and Michael Childers.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Friday, August 11, 2023, at the funeral home.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
