Funeral services for Paul Redfern Kennedy, age 89 will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Olivet Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Northview Cemetery.  Rev. Kyle Giddens will officiate.   Mr. Kennedy was born on August 27, 1927 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Joseph "Joe" Ellis and Willie Ellington Kennedy.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Woodard Kennedy along with 5 brothers, and 4 sisters. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church where he was a member of Boundary Breakers Sunday School Class. He served in the United States Army, and was a farmer.  Mr. Kennedy passed away on Tuesday, November 01, 2016 at Serenity Place.   Mr. Kennedy is survived by his son, Timothy "Tim" Joel (Kim) Kennedy, Sr. of Dublin, a daughter, Paula Kennedy (Jim) Smith of Hawkinsville, a sister, Jane Kennedy Harville of Macon, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.   Pallbearers will be Tim Kennedy, Joel Kennedy, Jace Kennedy, Edwin Gleeson, Will Gleeson, and Larry Askew.   The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until 3:45 P.M. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Olivet Baptist Church.   In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory Mr. Kennedy to Serenity Place at 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, GA 31021.   Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
