Funeral services for Pauline D. Pollett, age 89 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Pollett was born January 11, 1935, in Claxton, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Frank Driggers and Rose Annie Hendrix Driggers. She was of the United Methodist faith. She was a retired schoolteacher for the Lowndes County School System where she received the Teacher of the Year Award twice during her 30 years of teaching. Mrs. Pollett passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at her residence in Cartersville, Georgia.
Mrs. Pollett is survived by her husband, Delma Eugene Pollett of Cartersville; 3 sons, Carroll Pollett, of Brevard, NC, William Pollett of Midland City, AL, and Mark Pollett of Harker Heights, TX; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Derek Pollett, Brian Pollett, Buford Pollett, Cecil Murphy, Sebastian Jordan, Ashely Pollett and Charles Rachel.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on November 9, 2024, at the funeral Home.
The family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Pollett to Dementia Research at Bright Focus Foundation at 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
