Pete Mitsin

Peter (Pete) Mitsin, age 79 passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 while vacationing with his loving family in Anacortes, Washington. Mr. Mitsin was born May, 8, 1938 in Fabyan, CT., to the late Kristo and Mary Mitsin. He was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, salesman,loving husband of 56 years, father, grandfather and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Leo Mitsin. Mr. Mitsin was an avid golfer who enjoyed his weekly golf outings with the "Good Ole Boys" of Middle Georgia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attended every baseball, football, volleyball, soccer and golf event his grandchildren participated in. He was an enthusiastic New England Patriot and Boston Red Sox fan. Mr. Mitsin was a active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a member of Fairview Fitness center. Survivors include his wife Adele Mitsin of Dublin, Daughters, Sharon Wallace (Bob), of Dublin, Michelle Caruso of Geneva, IL and Mary Ellen Shaw (John) of Bend, Oregon. Brother Steven Mitsin of East Douglas, MA., Grandchildren Nick and Courtney Caruso, Max and Allison Wallace, and Maddie and Mathew Shaw. The family will receive visitors at Stanley Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 20th, from 6 - 8 PM. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 21st, 11 AM. at Immaculate Conception Church, 1559 US Hwy. 441 N, Dublin with a luncheon following the service at Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church, 511 Bellevue Ave, Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Immaculate Conception Church Stage II building fund,1559 Highway 441 North, Dublin, GA 31021 and Carl Vinson VA Medical Center c/o Voluntary Services 1826 Veterans Blvd., Dublin, GA 31021.
