Philip "Phil" Ashley Parr

Memorial Services for Philip "Phil" Ashley Parr, age 65 will be held at 11:00 A.M Saturday, November 16, 2024, in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel. Visitation from 10:00am – 10:45am.


Mr. Parr was born September 19, 1959, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the son of the late Charlie Wilburn Parr, Jr. and Letha McCoy Parr. He was a member of Leland United Methodist Church but attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a talented graphic designer who was highly regarded by his colleagues and clients at ARC Document Solutions in Macon, GA for 31 years. Mr. Parr passed away Friday, November 8, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital. Phil was a simple and loyal man, a devoted husband and father, an avid reader, and enjoyed gardening, art, and listening to a wide variety of music ranging from Frank Sinatra to Bob Dylan. Phil found peace spending time with his family and in nature.


Mr. Parr is survived by his wife of 22 years, BJ Smith Parr of Wrightsville; a son William Parr of Wrightsville; 2 brothers, Steve Parr (Sheila) of Marietta, and David (Shannon) Parr of Pawleys Island, SC; a brother-in-law, Kevin (Kasey) Smith of McLeansboro, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
