Rabon Weston Price

Funeral services for Rabon Weston Price, age 97, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 29, 2024, at Union Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Burton Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. Price was born on January 15, 1927, in Johnson County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Weston E. and Pauline F. Price. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor Garrett Price; son, Glen Elery Price and an infant son. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed attending Kite First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Johnson County Young Farmers, the Woodmen of the World, and past vice president of the Johnson County Farm Bureau. Mr. Price passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home.

He is survived by his son, Gary R. Price; sister, Winifred (Billy) Price, nephew, Kevin Price all of Wrightsville and daughter-in-law, Jan Price of Brunswick.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. on Friday at Union Hill Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Chris Holmes, Fred Jackson, Barry Powell, Jeff Powell, Matt Powell and Edd Tanner.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions, in memory of Mr. Price, be made to the Johnson County Young Farmers Glen Price Memorial Scholarship Fund ℅ Kent Foskey, 150 Herschel Walker Dr, Wrightsville, GA 31096.
